Had he wished to remove incriminating evidence that he had planted (and that the investigators did not find) then he could have gone back into the house and picked up himself, thus eliminating the risk of involving another person who may or may not stay stumm. But instead, he chose never to return. And when Patsy said she didn't care if it was burned, they see that as suspicious as well. BPD pulled the house apart looking for evidence to incriminate the Ramseys and found NONE.
None that convinces YOU doesn't mean none was found. And that applies to all walks of life, just because you THINK something is right or wrong, doesn't mean it IS right or wrong. The house was pulled apart by PP and stuff removed and we'll never know what was in those boxes, it's that simple. Another blunder by the BPD.

This took place on the second day of the search, so by no means were the police finished.

I think we can all agree that what was in those unchecked boxes will never be established, but it was a damn sight more than funeral clothes.

Why did they let her in in the first place?

why not accompany her into the house to get the clothing?

if it was an active crime scene then they should have told them to use some money and buy some more clothes for the funeral, it's not as if they couldn't afford it!

jeez the BPD have a lot to answer for on this case!

Exactly right FairM, she should never have been allowed anywhere near the place. I suppose the police thought they were being sympathetic to grieving parents ? Who knows why the boxes weren't checked ?

I'm beginning to think that BPD should stand for Blunder Police Department.

You want the truth? You want the TRUTH? You can't handle the TRUTH!. The only way to get to the the TRUTH is to swallow this Lavender Pill. Lavender Pill with lead you to the TRUTH. The BLACK pill will lead you to whatever you beliveve....as asinine as you think it is.

Take the Lavender Pill and I will show you that the killer is mr. crotchety. He was a neighbor of the Ramsay's. He didn't like JB steppin' on his manicured laws at midnight. He watched her do it,....you better believe mr. crochety watched her do it,....and then he swallowed the purple pill. The purple pill leads to absolute psychosis on the part of the people who swallowed the red pill bs.

and that will leave you like the red pill people. Totally and utterly confused....and borderline psychotic.

LOL

I'll take the lavender pill, thank-you-very-much.

ok , time out....If you read ST's book , page51 and 52 he gives a description of Pam making more than half a dozen trips through the house loading up boxes of stuff. According to ST Detective Everett accompanied her and made a general inventory of what was removed, this did indeed (according to ST) include passports, credit cards, a cell phone and bank records....this was on the second day of the official police search so the police had not finished.

I believe this is where you got your info from Scorpion? but please correct me if i'm wrong.

Rex - do you have any other authority/information that would contradict what Scorpion has said? otherwise your description of his statement as BS doesn't appear justified does it?

Be good to clear this issue about what was removed once and for all, if that is at all possible....

So according to this, Det Everett DID know what was removed. How can they make this into some sort of conspiracy? The boxes were checked, people have a right to their own possessions from their own house, surely? They left in what they were wearing, after she was found. There is nothing suspicious in having someone collect a few possessions. Interestingly, ST did NOT list the golf bag amongst the items collected.

I think it is for Scorpion to justify their comment "it's what's not known is the interesting part".

and

"Exactly right FairM, she should never have been allowed anywhere near the place. I suppose the police thought they were being sympathetic to grieving parents ? Who knows why the boxes weren't checked ?"

So Scorpion, please enlighten us as to the source?

Did Detective Everett check the boxes ? You know that as fact ?

When Officer Angie Chromiak asked Everett "Are you checking all this ?" he replied "You don't worry about it".

Now, can YOU please justify your comment on the boxes being checked ?

Stay classy Rex.

People have a right to their own possessions from their own house surely, in normal circumstances. However, when the house becomes a crime scene things change somewhat and those rights should no longer apply.

Det Everett completed an inventory of what was taken from the house, so he must have checked the boxes to have completed that, otherwise how could he have completed it?

Regarding the various blunders, I believe that Steve Thomas stated in his book that he had never been asked to investigate a homicide before, and I'll bet most of the other police hadn't, either.

Boulder is a relatively low-crime area, and the police were not prepared for anything like this.

Of course, this isn't an excuse. However, you can see where their inexperience caused them to react slowly and to make so many mistakes.
