GOD  saw she was hurting a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around her and whispered "come with me".
A mulatto little girl with soft, wavy hair
and a shy bright smile  she  took everywhere.
With tear filled eyes her dad watched her suffer and fade away.
Although he loved her deeply he could not make her stay.
Her precious heart stopped beating, small hands put to rest.
GOD broke our hearts to prove to us  he only takes the best.
